Cookie Policy
A short policy, because there is not much to declare. Our marketing site uses two analytics tools and nothing for advertising, and the application stores only what it needs to keep you signed in.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Related technologies local storage, session storage do much the same job. This policy covers all of them.
They are usually described in four groups: strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and advertising. It is worth knowing which groups a site actually uses, because most sites tell you far less than the banner implies.
2. On our website
The marketing site at auditax.ai uses two analytics tools Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they leave. It sets no advertising cookies, we have not deployed an ad pixel, and we do not share your visit with an ad network.
| Cookie | Set by | Why it exists | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Counts a visit once, and tells us which pages and which countries it came from | 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Recognises a returning browser, so repeat visits are not counted as new people | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins the pages of a single visit into one session | 1 day |
Clarity also records a playback of the visit mouse movement, clicks and scrolling on our pages so we can see where a page confuses people. Anything you type into a form is masked in those recordings, and the recordings cover this marketing site only, never the application.
You can refuse all of it: block cookies for auditax.ai in your browser settings, or install Google's own opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site stops working without them, and you are not asked to accept anything to read a page.
Your browser will still keep the ordinary things a browser keeps a cache, and any preference you set yourself. We do not read them.
3. In the application
Signing in to the AudiTax platform stores an authentication token in your browser or device. This is strictly necessary: without it, every page you open would ask you to sign in again.
| Purpose | Type | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication token | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in between pages and sessions |
| Session and UI state | Strictly necessary / functional | Remembers interface preferences such as your last view |
| Push notification token (mobile) | Functional | Delivers alerts to the device, where you enabled them |
None of these are used to track you across other websites.
4. Third parties
Payments run through Stripe. When you reach a payment step, Stripe may set its own cookies to process the transaction and to detect fraud that is Stripe's processing, governed by Stripe's own policies.
Google and Microsoft receive the analytics described in section 2, as processors acting on our instructions and under their own terms. Neither is given the right to use it to build a profile of you for advertising.
We do not embed social media widgets, live chat, or third-party video on the marketing site, so none of those set anything here.
5. If this changes
Analytics went live on the marketing site in September 2026, and this page was updated in the same release rather than after it. If we ever add something that profiles you or feeds an ad network, we will say so here first and ask for consent through a banner that lets you decline without losing access to the site.
We will not add advertising trackers to the platform.
6. Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings, and offers a private browsing mode that discards them when you close it.
Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop you being able to sign in to the platform. That is not a dark pattern it is what the token is for. Everything else can be blocked without breaking anything.
